My one issue with the app is that after the latest update, my phone gets very hot when I use the app, which didn't happen before? I'm not sure if this is a fixable thing, but I just wanted to let you know. The app adds features regularly, and the developer is very kind!! This app is great, I don't have my own Live2d model yet, but the default models are still fun to play around with! The app has several great features for streaming (items, animations, hotkeys)! The tracking is fantastic, the parameters can be confusing at first but once you play around with them you can understand how they work. I really don't get why that's so hard to understand! If you read the description, you will know that it is a face tracking program for a PRE-MADE live2d model. Please don't leave a negative review because your phone is too old, the developer can't do anything about that. This app only works with iPhones with facial tracking. Alas, I understand that it costs money to keep this program going as well as continue keeping up with maintenance and support, so I’ll probably end up just paying the $22 bucks at some point. Sure you can start it up again and again but it’s very tedious to do. My one and only gripe would be the fact that without the pro version, you can only stream for 5 minutes at a time if you’re streaming to your PC. The facial tracking is great, it’s nice to finally find something stable enough to follow my eye movements without making them flicker and dart around constantly any time I glance in another direction. While the app is a tad bit tedious to understand at first, it doesn’t take long to figure things out.
I’m currently switching from 3D to 2D models and was recommended VTube studio as a replacement for VUP. Now that that’s out of the way, here’s my review. THIS IS NOT A CHARACTER CREATOR/GENERATOR! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING YOUR OWN MODEL! DO NOT LEAVE A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE OF THIS!
